| Breaking News |  | No Recovery For Nitrous Clark, Retires Monday, November 11th, 2013: "Baseball was my dream. I just wish it could have lasted longer." Those were the sad words of Cincinnati HS reliever Ed Clark at his press conference announcing his retirement from baseball. Clark suffered a career-ending injury. He was forced to retire because of 1. "Once this year goes by, it will be a lot easier to deal with. This is going to be a tough year, just sitting around and not being able to go out there and do what I love." All the news is not bad though. The 17-year-old Clark has accepted an administrative position with the Nitrous.
|  | No Recovery For Steamships Castellanos, Setback Forces Him Out Thursday, September 19th, 2013: "Baseball was my dream. I just wish it could have lasted longer." Those were the sad words of Chula Vista HS center fielder Luis Castellanos at his press conference announcing his retirement from baseball. Castellanos suffered a career-ending injury. He was forced to retire because of a broken hamate bone in his left wrist. "Once this year goes by, it will be a lot easier to deal with. This is going to be a tough year, just sitting around and not being able to go out there and do what I love." All the news is not bad though. The 17-year-old Castellanos has accepted an administrative position with the Steamships.
|  | Career Over for Sluggers Kent Nace Monday, September 2nd, 2013: The news couldn't be any worse -- Colorado Springs HS doctors told Kent Nace his baseball career is probably over. The 16-year-old closer received the harrowing news yesterday. Sluggers team officials were notified that Nace had suffered irreparable damage and would not recover from 5, at least not enough to be able to resume his baseball career.
