Premier Batter Named by Gulf Coast League
Thursday, September 13th, 2012: Greg Halman of the GCL (WSH) Nationals had a fine season this year and today he accepted the GCL MVP for 2012.

The 21-year-old left fielder put up a .374 average and a .439 on-base percentage, piling up 70 hits, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 6 home runs, 48 RBIs and 37 runs scored.
Robertson Picked Best GCL Pitcher
Wednesday, September 12th, 2012: The GCL Pitcher of the Year for 2012 has been presented and the Gulf Coast League winner is Ken Robertson of GCL (BOS).

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Robertson. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Red Sox star told reporters.

Robertson excelled with an impressive 7-2 record in 9 starts. In 75.1 innings he yielded 55 hits and 14 walks, while striking out 56 and compiling a fine 2.03 ERA.
2012 Best Gloves Picked by GCL
Tuesday, September 11th, 2012: Good glovemen take pride in their defensive skills. They know they make a difference in baseball. Even on days when they don't get a hit, they feel they can make a difference in the field -- and they do. The Gulf Coast League announced its Gold Glove honorees for 2012. This year's recipients are:

First Baseman: Héctor Ríos (GCL (MIN) Twins)
Second Baseman: Dan MacIntosh (GCL (CIN) Reds)

Shortstop: Ernest Holley (GCL (LA) Dodgers)
