Sunday, September 16th, 2012: Ken Turner of the West Virginia Power proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Arizona League AZL MVP.
Turner hit for a .416 average while collecting 74 hits, 11 doubles, 1 triple, no home runs, 29 RBIs and scoring 35 times.

 | Ramírez Chosen AZL's Best Pitcher
Saturday, September 15th, 2012: 21-year-old Jesús Ramírez of the AZL (ANA) Angels put together a good year in 2012 for such a young player. Ramírez was named today as the winner of the Arizona League AZL Pitcher of the Year.
Ramírez crafted an impressive 11-1 record and a 2.62 ERA. In 96.1 innings he allowed 98 hits, struck out 62, and walked 20.
