Monday, October 7th, 2013: "Words can't quite express how it feels right now," Walt Moody said today after being named the 2013 NWL MVP recipient. "It's an honor to join the list of the other great players that have won this award."
Moody smacked opposing pitchers around for a .328 batting average and a .405 on-base percentage this year, tallying 31 doubles, 5 triples, 7 home runs, 48 RBIs and 64 runs scored.

Sunday, October 6th, 2013: The Tri-City clubhouse staff referred to him as "the kid" this season. Next year Juan Nieves will have to have a new nickname. He earned it after winning the 2013 Northwest League NWL Pitcher of the Year.
Nieves made 18 starts this year, winning 12 and losing 0. He threw 125.1 innings, fanned 91, allowed 115 hits and 23 walks, while holding opposing teams to a .242 average as he logged an impressive 2.08 ERA.
