| Breaking News |  | League Decrees 10-Game Suspension after Everhart Fails Drug Test Monday, December 23rd, 2013: While the league's regimen of drug testing has made good progress in eradicating steroids from the game of baseball, occasionally someone gets caught in the net. Palm Beach Cardinals second baseman Lane Everhart became the latest to receive a suspension. The Commissioner's Office press release said Everhart tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance in violation of league rules.
Everhart, who will miss 10 games, refused to comment.
