 | American League Selects Best Performer Monday, September 9th, 2013: At the age of 28, Josh Rodriguez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Cleveland second baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .444 batting average. For his efforts Rodriguez collected the American League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 3 home runs and 7 RBIs last week in 7 games. So far this season Rodriguez is hitting .279 with 18 home runs, 67 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He has 155 hits in 555 at-bats and a .353 OBP. |
