 | Crawford on Fire: 5-5 for Oakland Sunday, September 8th, 2013: Carl Crawford really did a number on the Rangers in the Oakland 6-5 victory. Not just anyone can get 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But Carl Crawford did just that today for the Athletics and gave his batting average a healthy boost and sparked his club in the win.
"I felt real good in the batter's box today. I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done," the 32-year-old center fielder said after his record-setting performance.
C. Crawford singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For the season Crawford has produced 176 hits in 519 at-bats for a .339 average with 10 home runs and gotten on base at a .383 clip. | |
